Program Overview

This course is intended for practicing Civil Engineers who are interested in the design and analysis of prestressed concrete members by various methods of prestressing; linear and circular prestressing; design of simple and continuous beams and slabs; extensive study of materials used in prestressed concrete structures, prestressed concrete bridge design using LRFD AASHTO specifications; Precast structural systems, hollow core slab members.

Who Should Attend?

Practicing Engineers and Architects from various design and consulting firms, Concrete Suppliers and Contractors, Federal, State, and local highway engineers involved in the design of prestressed concrete structures. A background in basic concrete and/or steel design is strongly recommended.

Skills You Will Acquire

You will gain extensive knowledge of prestressed concrete bridge design. The elements covered in this course range from linear and circular prestressing to LRFD AASHTO specifications.
